Lingit is a leading educational software company specializing in assistive technology for individuals with reading and writing disabilities. Offering products in multiple languages including Norwegian, English, German, French, and Spanish, the company was founded by linguistics experts at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). In 2017, Nordic private equity firm Verdane Capital acquired Lingit with the aim of accelerating its growth and facilitating international expansion. As part of its international growth strategy, Lingit also acquired Claro Software Ltd, a UK-based company, in March 2018. With its headquarters in Norway, Lingit continues to develop and provide innovative assistive technology for individuals with reading and writing disabilities, positioning itself as the largest European provider in this sector.
