La Colaborativa is a trusted partner founded in 1988 dedicated to serving and uplifting Latinx immigrants in Greater Boston, with a strong focus on gateway cities and towns, including Chelsea, East Boston, Everett, Lynn, Revere, and Malden. The organization collaborates closely with the Latinx community to develop and implement programs, initiatives, and campaigns that address essential needs such as food and housing security, economic advancement, cultural celebration, and immigrant leadership.
As a well-established resource for Massachusetts’ immigrant population, La Colaborativa disseminates linguistically- and culturally-appropriate information and resources to some of the most vulnerable community members, including newly-arrived immigrants, undocumented families, non-English speakers, and low-income tenants and workers.
The most recent investment in La Colaborativa amounted to $2.00M in the form of a grant, with the investment coming from the Point32Health Foundation on 14 December 2023. The organization's slogan "Levantando al pueblo ~ Lifting people up" showcases their commitment to empowering and supporting the Latinx immigrant community in the United States.
