Kukua is an education entertainment company of Kenyan origin, founded in 2015. The company's emphasis is on building a pan-African children’s franchise around Super Sema, who is heralded as Africa’s first animated child heroine. The recent milestone for Kukua was a $6.00M Series A investment secured on 29th June 2022, with notable participation from investors including EchoVC Partners, Firstminute capital, Alchimia Investments, Volta Circle, Auxxo, and Tencent.
