Keystone Tower Systems is a fast-growing company revolutionizing the manufacturing process for wind turbine towers. Their automated tower production system is modernizing the steel tower industry by significantly increasing production rates and offering new opportunities for welded steel towers. This innovative process can be operated at the wind project, allowing for the construction of much larger towers compared to the current transport-constrained towers. Keystone is collaborating with leading wind turbine manufacturers to integrate large diameter, field-welded towers into their turbine offerings, enabling welded steel towers to reach hub-heights exceeding 140m.
Additionally, Keystone's process can be seamlessly added to a conventional tower factory, eliminating the need for manual welding lines through a single machine that simultaneously performs all rolling and welding operations and increasing tower output by 50%.
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in the United States, Keystone Tower Systems received its last Venture Round investment on October 30, 2017, with funding from Colorado Impact Fund, Finindus, Zoma Capital, and National Oilwell Varco.
