Description: KDN – Dachverband kommunaler IT-Dienstleister is the umbrella organization of municipal IT service providers in NRW. It represents the IT service providers anchored in municipal self-government and organizes the award-free cooperation of its members in the legal form of a special-purpose association. Its goals include: - Further developing the IT service landscape, which is regionally shaped in NRW, as a combined service, - Promoting cooperation among its members to ensure an economic, secure, and sustainable IT supply for the municipalities in the state, - Providing common digital services and applications within the network of municipal IT service providers, both with the state and independently, and ensuring the digital networking of municipalities across their own organizational and territorial boundaries nationally and regionally. - Organizing joint IT procurement by bundling needs and achieving cost-effective purchasing for its members and municipalities. Over the years, KDN, along with its members, has become an important and reliable IT partner for municipalities and a point of contact for the state of NRW in the process of digitizing administration.
