Kativik Regional Government

The Kativik Regional Government is a non-ethnic public organization established in 1978 under the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement. It holds jurisdiction over a vast territory in Québec north of the 55th parallel, overseeing areas such as municipal matters, transportation, the environment, policing, employment, labor training, income security, childcare services, renewable resources, land-use planning, civil security, and economic development. Operating within the Government and Military sector, the organization recently received a $3.50 million grant investment on August 3, 2023 from the Government of Quebec.
