The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the 35th president of the United States. Established in 1984, the Foundation supports the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in collecting, preserving, and providing access to President Kennedy's historical documents, audiovisual materials, and memorabilia. Through collaboration with the National Archives and Records Administration, the Foundation develops programs to promote scholarship and understanding of President Kennedy's life and his era, as well as to foster an appreciation of American political and cultural heritage.
In addition to supporting the JFK Presidential Library, the Foundation sponsors programs addressing contemporary democratic challenges, inspiring political engagement and public service among current and future generations. These initiatives aim to stimulate debate on issues central to modern democracy, closely tied to the legacy of President John F. Kennedy.
