James L. Taylor Manufacturing Company
The James L. Taylor Manufacturing Company was founded in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1911 to produce a quick-adjusting, self-locking bar clamp. This began a series of innovations that have established James L. Taylor as the leader in machinery used in the production of wood products.
Today, our company is comprised of three divisions: Taylor, JLT Clamps, and Cameron Automation. These three product lines are all manufactured in the same building--a recently purchased 100,000 square foot facility just minutes from our original factory. This move has allowed us to expand as a company and improve our manufacturing processes. We are also growing our work force. We're establishing a balanced team of seasoned professionals and ambitious rookies that will continue to develop new technology that will keep our company ahead of the pack.
