iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America's Graduates)
iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America's Graduates) is a nonprofit organization associated with the national affiliate, Jobs for Americas Graduates. Since its founding in 1999, iJAG has been a leader in career development in Iowa. The organization focuses on providing age-appropriate career development curriculum, resources, and experiences for middle and high school students across Iowa and Illinois, currently serving more than 7,200 students annually. Participants are identified as students who are disengaged at school, at high risk of dropping out, or lack the skills and motivation to pursue stable employment.
iJAG's commitment to "Every Student. No Matter What" reflects its dedication to providing tailored guidance to every student, regardless of barriers or personal situations. The organization has achieved significant results, including a 97% graduation rate for iJAG students, compared to 90% statewide, and nearly 60% of graduates being first-generation postsecondary education attendees. Moreover, 24% are the first generation in their family to graduate high school. iJAG students also show an increasing grade point average and school attendance.
