Hospital Sepaco is a pioneer in hospital infection control. Founded in 1956, the SEPACO (Serviço Social da Indústria do Papel, Papelão e Cortiça do Estado de São Paulo) was established with the commitment to address the deficiencies in medical and hospital care for industry employees and their dependents. The hospital, with 181 beds, offers a range of clinical and surgical treatments, maternity, nursery, pediatrics, and adult, infant, and neonatal intensive care units. Its multidisciplinary clinical staff and state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapy services contribute to its reputation. Particularly notable is SEPACO's groundbreaking research and work in hospital infection, a field in which it is considered a pioneer in Brazil. The hospital's studies have been instrumental in shaping the Infection Control Policy adopted by the Brazilian Ministry of Health for all hospitals in the country. In 1993, SEPACO received the Conformity Seal from the Regional Council of Medicine and the São Paulo Medical Association, distinguishing it as one of the few hospitals in the state to achieve this recognition.
