HopeWest

HopeWest is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive care for individuals facing serious illness and grief in western Colorado. Founded in 1993, the organization has expanded to serve more than 7,000 square miles with five offices and a state-of-the-art HopeWest Hospice Care Center. With a staff of 425 and over 1,300 volunteers, they offer care to more than 2,500 patients and over 1,500 individuals coping with grief annually. HopeWest has become a respected model for hospice and palliative care, offering services in private homes, nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, and their own Hospice Care Center. The organization's impact extends beyond health care, as they are deeply integrated into the communities they serve through various boards and retail businesses. Philanthropy plays a crucial role in supporting their mission, with funds raised through grants, individual and corporate gifts, events, and support from unique retail outlets such as Spoons bistro & bakery, Heirlooms for Hospice, and Charmed by Heirlooms.
