HomeStart is a pioneering nonprofit organization with the slogan "Ending and Preventing Homelessness" dedicated to eradicating homelessness in Greater Boston. Established in 1994, the organization has been instrumental in permanently housing over 14,000 individuals and preventing eviction for more than 4,000 households. A remarkable Seed Round investment at 01 January 2018 was secured from Praxis to further its mission. HomeStart's multi-faceted strategy comprises Eviction Prevention, Housing Search, and Housing Stability aimed at offering advocacy, financial aid, and supportive services to ensure secure and stable housing for its beneficiaries. The impact of its interventions is evident as 95% of assisted households remain securely housed even 48 months following the organization's intervention, making it a standout success.
