Hilma - tech for impact is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2018 by Israeli’s hi-tech executives with the mission to establish Israel as a world leader in social impact entrepreneurship. The organization aims to raise, train, inspire, and empower a new generation of social-tech entrepreneurs and use technology to help disadvantaged groups. Hilma's model focuses on being a leading development center for the public sector and NGO’s and on developing innovative technological solutions for disadvantaged populations, incorporating a measurable business model paired with economic feasibility. Hilma's approach involves harnessing talented young populations, including high-school graduates in a volunteer-based National Service program, where they participate in a two-year technological leadership program to acquire software-programming skills and develop software-based applications and solutions in the fields of welfare, education, digital health, and the environment. The organization's programs such as Carmel 6000 for young Orthodox women, Mifneh 2525 for youngsters exempt from the army, and Tavor 575 for combat veterans are aimed at different sections of the society. In 2021, Hilma established "Hilma 1-100" to serve as a scale-up and development center for the technological solutions and applications developed at Hilma. The scale-up center employs Hilma graduates. Additionally, in July 2021, Hilma founded its first for-profit company - Hospikol Ltd. With its innovative approach and aim to solve social challenges with web and mobile applications, Hilma presents a unique opportunity for potential investors interested in impacting social change through technology. The organization's focus on empowering young talents and addressing social issues makes it an attractive prospect for venture capital firms seeking to support social impact entrepreneurship in Israel.
