HENSCHKE
HENSCHKE is a sixth generation family-owned winery with over 145 years of grapegrowing and winemaking experience. Established in 1868, the company is dedicated to celebrating its rich history of family winemaking. The current proprietors, Stephen and Prue Henschke, are committed to sustainability in their vineyards, employing organic and biodynamic principles.
Since Johann Christian Henschke planted the first vineyard in 1862, the Henschke family has continued to build upon their legacy. Notably, fourth-generation Cyril Henschke led the way in pioneering varietal and single-vineyard wines, creating iconic shiraz wines—Hill of Grace and Mount Edelstone— in the 1950s, which have garnered global acclaim in the red wine world.
Based in Australia, Henschke represents a unique blend of tradition, innovation, and expertise in winemaking, solidifying its standing as a pioneering force in the industry.
