Health and Wellness Center - AUBMC is a pioneering initiative dedicated to optimizing health and well-being through evidence-based comprehensive programs and holistic services. Established in 2006 as the American University of Beirut (AUB) Wellness Program, it has become the first university wellness program in Lebanon and the region. The center aims to create a healthier study and work environment by providing the AUB community with programs, facilities, services, and incentives that promote and support healthy lifestyle choices. In 2015, the program expanded to a Health and Wellness Center (HWC), introducing evidence-based integrative health services. Part of the Department of Family Medicine at AUBMC, the center aligns with AUBMC’s 2020 Vision in creating clinical, educational, and research centers of excellence. It encompasses Academic and Research, Wellness Services, and AUB Wellness Program. The mission is to provide exemplary, comprehensive, and continuous primary health care to ensure a healthy life, while the vision is to become a state-of-the-art Health and Wellness Center of Excellence in Lebanon and the region.
