Harry Meyering Center, Inc. is a residential provider for adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Founded in 1973, it initially housed 44 individuals with developmental disabilities, thanks to the efforts of the local ARC and the parents of those individuals. Over time, the organization has expanded to serve 150 people through three programs: the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), the Supportive Living Service (SLS), and Semi-Independent Living Services (SILS/SLS In-home). The mission of HMC is to encourage dreams, focus on independence, foster community connections, help people cope with life-changing events, and provide special attention to safety, health needs, and security for the individuals it serves.
