Harold Grinspoon Foundation

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (The HGF) is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 in the United States. With the slogan "Community. Culture. Connections.," the foundation is dedicated to connecting people to Jewish values, faith, traditions, and culture, and building vibrant Jewish communities. The HGF boasts several flagship programs, including PJ Library, JCamp 180, Life & Legacy, Voices & Visions, and Western Mass Grants. The HGF's PJ Library initiative aims to share Jewish culture and values through children’s books, with a global reach and a sister program called Sifriyat Pijama, currently serving over 400,000 children in schools throughout Israel. Meanwhile, the Voices & Visions program harnesses the power of art to communicate significant Jewish ideas and inspire conversation and creativity amongst diverse audiences. Another flagship initiative, JCamp180, supports the infrastructure of Jewish camps in North America through mentor services in areas such as strategic planning, board development, fundraising, and technology. The Life & Legacy program incentivizes communities to secure legacy gifts for their Jewish communal organizations, ensuring a sustainable future. In addition to its flagship initiatives, the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation (HGCF), focusing on Western Massachusetts, offers support for programs such as the Entrepreneurship Initiative, Local Farmer Awards, Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards, and ener-G-save.
