Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake is a federally recognized Indian Nation located in Upper Lake, California. With 243 tribal members, it is governed by an Executive Council comprised of seven elected tribal members. The council is charged with protecting the unique culture, members’ well-being, and sovereign enterprises that enable self-determination. The tribe generates revenue from outside ventures, empowering the offering of an ever-growing number of critical economic development programs essential for the tribe’s self-sufficiency, prosperity, and preserving its traditional Pomo culture.
