GreenPower2020

GreenPower2020 is a renewable energy startup, with a focus on power generation and grid connections in the European Union, South Eastern Mediterranean, and Arab countries. Founded in 2008 by Mr. ANBAR, the co-founder and former executive vice president of Medgrid, the company is set to drive significant developments in the energy sector. The company is currently promoting LEG1, a high voltage direct current (HVDC) Interconnector Submarine Power Cable Project with a capacity of 2,000 MW, which is extendable to 7,000 MW or more. This project holds the position of n°284 on the European Commission's list of projects TYNDP2016. Additionally, GreenPower2020 plans to build a 2,000 MW concentrated solar plant in North Africa to supply the submarine link.
