Greater Georgia Printers, Inc. is a company established in 1969 by five newspaper publishers to address the challenges they faced in transitioning to cold-type offset printing technology. With an initial investment of $25k and subsequent bank financing, the company purchased a 4200 square foot building in Crawford, Georgia. Over the years, the company experienced significant growth, expanding its facility to 20,000 square feet on 31 acres. In 1987, the company acquired a single-color sheetfed press, marking its entry into commercial printing. In 1992, GGP acquired the assets of a printing company in Athens, Georgia, leading to the formation of Piedmont Impressions as its sheetfed division. The most recent expansion in 2008 saw the addition of 6000 square feet of production and climate-controlled storage space and the purchase of advanced printing equipment. GGP now offers a comprehensive range of services including design, typesetting, pre-press, bindery, and mailing services, positioning itself as a one-stop solution for custom printing needs in the Publishing industry. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, GGP continues to thrive, offering quality printing solutions at competitive prices.
