GENET is a feminist and local women-led organization working with girls and young women, their networks and communities to advance their rights to autonomy, choice, empowerment and meaningful engagement. GENET was found in 2008 and is committed towards elimination of gender inequalities, promoting economic and climate change justice for girls and women in Malawi. We work under 5 key thematic areas; Education, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender Based Violence(GBV), Economic empowerment and Climate change. Mission We exist to create a sustained and vibrant movement of girls and young women through transformative feminist leadership, empowerment, mentorship , advocacy and networking. Vision We envision a world where all girls are empowered, lead and thrive. Goal Girls have power to exercise their rights in a equitable supportive environment in Malawi. Core values 1.
