Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, Inc is an organization with a rich history, founded in 1912 by Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low in Savannah, Georgia. With a focus on developing courageous, confident, and successful girls, the organization now consists of 2.6 million members who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Through a nationwide realignment, Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes (GSNWGL) was formed in 2008, covering 58 counties across northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, with 5,000 volunteers and approximately 16,000 girls.
