The Framingham Heart Study is a renowned project of Boston University School of Medicine and the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, founded in 1948. With over 3,800 articles published in prestigious academic journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, Nature Genetics, Circulation, and the Lancet, FHS has gained global recognition. The study is now venturing into new avenues, such as genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics, incorporating state-of-the-art technology. The last investment of $38.00M in the form of a grant was received on 16 April 2019 from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
