Force Motors Ltd is an Indian manufacturing company, established in 1958 by Shri N. K. Firodia with a vision to provide affordable commercial transport for the masses. The company has evolved into a fully integrated automobile manufacturer, specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of automotive components, aggregates, vehicles, and agricultural tractors. Notably, Force Motors is the sole supplier of engines to Mercedes-Benz India, having delivered over 152,000 engines to date. Additionally, it has a dedicated facility for engine production for BMW and has supplied over 70,000 engines for their cars and SUVs. In 2018, Force Motors formed a joint venture with Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG to establish "Force MTU Power Systems Pvt. Ltd.," focusing on manufacturing and supplying 10- and 12-cylinder Series 1600 engines globally for power generation and underfloor rail applications. The company's recent product introductions include the Gurkha BS6, an off-roader designed with inspiration from the Mercedes G-Wagon and the Force Urbania, a premium modular panel van designed in consultation with global engineering experts, featuring maximum passenger space, comfort, and international safety standards.
