Flutterwave is a payments infrastructure startup that aims to connect Africa to the global economy. Established in 2016 by a team of African finance and technology veterans, including individuals from Standard Bank, PayPal, and Google Wallet, the company has rapidly emerged as one of the fastest-growing payments companies globally. Flutterwave has processed nearly $2 billion in payments and 25 million transactions, serving over 33 African countries. Its mission is to provide businesses and banks with the technology and tools to offer a more secure and seamless payments experience for their customers.

The company has attracted significant investment from prominent Fintech investors such as Ycombinator Continuity Fund (investors in Stripe), Greycroft (investors in Braintree and Venmo), Greenvisor Capital, Omidyar Network, and Glynn Capital, among others. In 2017, Flutterwave was honored as Africa's best fintech company at the Apps Africa Innovation Awards. Headquartered in the United States, the company's last investment occurred through a Secondary Market investment on 07 March 2023.
