Facturedo is a platform that helps companies obtain liquidity by discounting invoices and allows investors to invest in commercial debt. Operating as a discount marketplace for invoices in Latin America, the company provides swift, secure, and convenient solutions for companies to obtain liquidity from their accounts receivable, while enabling investors to easily invest in commercial debt. This addresses a significant need as SMEs in the region struggle with a financing gap amounting to USD 250 billion, mainly due to issues with risk assessment, underwriting, and the high costs associated with loan fulfillment and collections processes. Unlike large companies with access to bank financing, SMEs are unable to leverage similar opportunities. With government initiatives driving electronic invoicing implementation and adoption across the region, technology is set to play a bigger role in the financing market. Since its inception in 2015, Facturedo has aimed at disrupting and increasing transparency in the banking and financing industry in Latin America. The platform has financed more than USD 2 million for over a thousand users, including companies and investors. The company received a MXN400.00K grant investment on 08 November 2019 from MassChallenge, signaling investor confidence in its innovative approach to addressing the financing gap in Latin America.
