Facotil - Fábrica de Colas e Tintas, S.A. is a certified company according to the NP EN ISO 9001:2015 standard. The company's industrial activity in manufacturing paints, varnishes, and adhesives began in the parent company, SPD – Sociedade Portuense de Drogas, S.A., founded in 1953 and later continued by Facotil. The company's industrial unit and headquarters are situated in an area of 70,000 m2, with approximately 25,000 m2 covered, belonging to the SPD group in Gondomar (Porto, Portugal). Facotil ventured into the production of thermosetting powder paints in 1997 with an installed production capacity of around 1,800 tons/year. In 2005, Facotil expanded its industrial activities to Angola by establishing a manufacturing unit for paints, varnishes, and adhesives in Luanda. In December 2010, the company acquired an industrial unit for producing asphalt waterproofing membranes and asphalt-based products in Avintes (Vila Nova de Gaia). Its primary users are in the industrial sectors, including construction, wood, furniture, and medium-sized metalworking, serving both the domestic market and export destinations such as Spain, France, Germany, and Portuguese-speaking African countries.
