Epic Pictures Group is an independent content studio with a focus on delivering top-notch genre entertainment. Founded in 2007, the company produces, finances, and distributes around twenty-thirty independent genre films annually. In 2013, Epic Pictures established its US-focused distribution division, Epic Pictures Releasing. In 2017, it acquired Dread Central, the world's most popular horror website, and launched its unique horror label, Dread, along with the AVOD channel, DreadTV. Venturing into horror gaming, in 2019, Epic Pictures launched DreadXP, focusing on editorial, reviews, podcasts, and original streaming content. Expanding further into the gaming industry, in 2020, DreadXP initiated a video game production and publishing division in collaboration with innovative developers in the independent gaming space.
