ePay.bg is the first Bulgarian electronic payment system, founded in 1999 as part of Datamax System Holding AD. In 2005, EasyPay was introduced as a physical extension of ePay.bg. ePay.bg facilitates various online transactions such as bill payments, taxes, fines, purchasing vignettes, and transfers. It is widely utilized by online stores, banks, financial, and governmental institutions in Bulgaria. Notably, it became the platform for the first credit card payment in a Bulgarian online store, purchasing an album by ФСБ. Additionally, it expanded its services in 2016 with EPAYGO, a ticket-selling platform gaining popularity for its user-friendly interface and minimal fees. Moreover, ePay.bg is a certified Level 1 Service Provider according to the rules of international card organizations. Since 2007, it has held the highest security certificate from VISA and MasterCard.
