Enfold Proactive Health Trust

Enfold India, founded in 2001, is a proactive health trust dedicated to creating safe and inclusive communities by addressing gender-based violence and child sexual abuse. The organization's 360° approach includes life skills-based sexuality and personal safety education, medico-legal and psycho-social support, advocacy, and training programs targeting various stakeholders. The recent investment of $40.00K grant from the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation in December 2023 reflects the recognition and support for Enfold India's impactful initiatives. These initiatives encompass educating and supporting educational institutions, corporates, stakeholders such as police and doctors, and the community at large. With its reach extending to over 30 cities in India and interaction with numerous children, teachers, parents, stakeholders, counsellors, and social workers, Enfold India has made a substantial impact. The founders, Dr. Sangeeta Saksena and Dr. Shaibya Saldanha, established Enfold Proactive Health Trust in response to the silence and apathy surrounding gender-based violence and child sexual abuse. As gynaecologists, they witnessed the traumatic effects on their patients and recognized the detrimental impact of the lack of open discourse on sexuality. Enfold India's work is not only impactful but also essential in addressing critical societal issues.
