Energex

Energex is an Australian company that has been distributing electricity to homes and businesses in South East Queensland since its formation in 1997. With a focus on Energy and Renewable Energy industries, the company serves over 1.4 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers across a population base of approximately 3.2 million. Energex underwent a significant development in 2016 when it merged with regional Queensland electricity distributor Ergon Energy Network to form Energy Queensland. While its predecessor organizations have a history tracing back to the late 19th century, Energex adapted to market changes by divesting its gas and electricity retail businesses and gas reticulation network in 2006/07, just before the commencement of full retail gas and electricity contestability in Queensland in July 2007. The company's headquarters are located in South East Queensland, Australia. Energex acknowledges and respects the Traditional Custodians and the Elders past, present, and emerging on whose land they walk, work, and live on, as well as their continuing connection to land, sea, and community. Energex currently does not have any publicly disclosed last investment or investors.
