Emqopter

Emqopter is a German startup founded in 2016 that specializes in automation technologies for flying robots used in industrial applications. The company emerged as a spin-off from the chair for Aerospace Information Technology at JMU Wuerzburg and gained recognition for developing a quadrotor capable of autonomous navigation. Unlike traditional drone producers, Emqopter positions itself as a technology integrator, providing the "senses" and the "brain" of drones as well as the software to synchronize operations. The company’s core competencies lie in precise environment awareness, efficient signal processing, and reliable autonomous flight control. Emqopter’s diverse product portfolio includes the Delivery Drone, Quadrotor Control System (QCS), Collision Avoidance Assistant (CAA), and the Quanipulator. Notably, the company's Delivery Drone is the first to be regularly operated in urban unregulated airspace in Germany on fixed routes between customer sites. Emqopter received its last investment in a Pre-Seed Round from Andreas Schmid Lab on May 8, 2020. The startup has marked its presence in the Drones and Robotics industries.
