Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) is India’s apex trade promotion organization aimed at promoting India’s exports of Electronics, Telecom, and Computer Software. Founded in 1989, ESC has played a pivotal role in facilitating the interaction of Indian SMEs with potential global buyers, resulting in significant export growth. With over 2000 members, ESC has been instrumental in steering India’s Electronics and Software Exports to a staggering US$ 126 billion during 2017-18.
One of ESC’s key functions is to assist foreign IT and Electronics companies in establishing business linkages in India. These services include facilitating Joint Ventures, business/technology tie-ups, networking, and business match-making between Indian Electronics & Computer Software companies and the rest of the world. ESC also serves as a link between the Government and its members, providing a platform for interaction on policy issues.
Moreover, ESC actively promotes India’s electronics, software, and IT trade by facilitating Indian electronics and IT companies' participation in global trade shows/expositions and conferences/congresses. These activities are essential in boosting India’s presence in the international market. ESC’s efforts are instrumental in positioning India as a significant player in the global electronics and software sector.
