Eklavya-Institute for Educational Research and Innovative Action

Eklavya-Institute for Educational Research and Innovative Action is an educational organization founded in 1982 with a vision to provide meaningful education for all and build a just and egalitarian society. The organization focuses on developing innovative curricular models at the micro level and implementing them in the mainstream education system in India to bring about social change. Eklavya has been actively involved in academic research and curriculum development for several decades, working with government and non-government agencies to seed and develop academic programs for curricular change in elementary education.

Notably, Eklavya played a key role in academic responsibilities for the landmark Hoshangabad Science Teaching Programme (HSTP) and collaborated with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in developing the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 and related syllabuses and textbooks. Currently, the organization is focused on curricular research and material development in language, math, science, and social sciences at various educational stages.
