EduCare Foundation Analysis
EduCare Foundation is an educational organization founded in 1990 with the mission of inspiring and empowering young people to become courageous and compassionate global leaders. The organization operates beyond the Bell after school programs in several schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and Lynwood Unified School District (LUSD).
The recent evaluations by Evaluation, Research and Cyber-Solutions (ERC) have revealed the positive impact of EduCare's programs. Statistics indicate that students participating in EduCare programs have an 89.0% graduation rate, which is nearly 21% higher than non-participants. Additionally, students attending at least 30 days of EduCare programs showed a 24.4% increase in regular school attendance and higher performance in California Standards Test (CST) scores.
In recognition of its exemplary programs, EduCare Foundation has received awards such as the "Innovation in High School After School Collaboration and Partnerships" from the California After School Network. Moreover, its After School Programs have been acknowledged nationally as a best practice in dropout prevention by the Afterschool Alliance and in summer programs by the Learning in Afterschool (LIAS) Group.
