ECOS is an Armenia-based company that was founded in 2017 with the vision of creating a Free Economic Zone in Armenia for high-tech IT startups focusing on blockchain technology and AI (Artificial intelligence).
In October 2018, the company signed an agreement with the Government of Armenia for the establishment of the Free Economic Zone. The zone was officially launched in December 2018 with a specific focus on developing the digital cluster and supporting the mining infrastructure.
The first resident of the Free Economic Zone, ECOS-M, introduced its own equity mining service called ECOS Cloud Mining, located within the Free Economic Zone. Additionally, ECOS-M signed an agreement with Hrazdan TPP to allocate more than 200 MW of Power Capacity for an industrial mining center designed for hundreds of thousands of devices.
ECOS operates primarily in the industries of Blockchain, Crypto, Finance, Financial Services, and Information Technology and is headquartered in Armenia.
