ECO-UNESCO is Ireland's Environmental Education and Youth Organisation, founded in 1986. Affiliated with the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations, it aims to raise environmental awareness and promote the protection and conservation of the environment among young people. Additionally, it promotes the ideals of UNESCO.
ECO-UNESCO focuses on environmental awareness, encouraging respect for nature, diversity, and active environmental stewardship. It also empowers young people by preparing them for a more active, positive, and responsible societal role through its programs and services. Raising self-esteem and promoting civic-mindedness are key components of ECO-UNESCO's work.
