E3G is an independent climate change think tank with a global outlook. Founded in 2004, the organization aims to tackle barriers and advance solutions for a safe climate. Specializing in climate diplomacy, energy policy, and sustainable finance, E3G builds cross-sectoral coalitions to achieve carefully defined outcomes, leveraging change within governments, politics, civil society, science, media, and public interest foundations. With offices in London, Brussels, Berlin, and Washington DC, E3G's diverse, experienced, and creative staff drives its capability. As a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee in the UK, a not-for-profit association (ASBL) in Belgium, and a private company with 501c3 tax-exempt status in Washington, E3G maintains full independence in all activities and is funded by a mix of foundations, government bodies, and NGOs. E3G's founders bring unique experience from the UK Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, aligning politics and policy to deliver transformational policy change.
