Democrats Abroad

Democrats Abroad is the official arm of the Democratic Party for the millions of Americans residing outside the United States. It aims to empower Americans abroad by giving them a voice in the U.S. government and supporting Democratic candidates through overseas voter mobilization. With 52 country committees globally, Democrats Abroad ensures that Americans living abroad are informed about their voting rights and actively participate in the U.S. political process. Recognized as a "state" Party by the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Democrats Abroad is represented by eight voting members on the DNC and at the quadrennial Democratic National Convention. Since its establishment in 1962, Democrats Abroad has created a strong presence in over 190 countries, allowing its members to vote in every U.S. state and Congressional district.
