The Dartmouth Investment and Philanthropy Program (DIPP) is an undergraduate, student-run organization that manages a $700,000+ equity portfolio. Established in 2007, DIPP was seeded by Dartmouth alumni who recognized the value of hands-on investing experience for undergraduates. With over 100 active members, the organization conducts weekly meetings featuring student-orchestrated stock pitches, economic/market updates, and alumni speakers. Members are tasked with presenting novel investment ideas and analyzing current portfolio holdings, fostering practical skills and experiences in finance.
DIPP's mission includes educating members on value investing principles, preparing them for finance careers through on-campus/virtual recruiting events, and extending their impact by donating a percentage of gains to campus-based charitable organizations. Emphasizing both financial growth and social responsibility, the organization exemplifies a commitment to student development and community impact.
