CTAI - Centro de Capacitação Tecnológica em Automação Industrial da UFBA
Founded in 2004, CTAI is a high-level teaching and research center that integrates study environments, research laboratories, and projects. It serves individuals, entities, and companies interested in industrial automation, process control, remote sensing, high-performance computing, and product and process development.
The coordination, along with its various members, including professors, researchers, and students, has always aimed to make it a center of excellence in multidisciplinary research and extension. CTAI comprises six main laboratories dedicated to the study, research, development, and implementation of projects, teaching, and extension activities. These include the Laboratory of Artificial Elevation (LEA), Control Laboratory, Industrial Automation Laboratory, Machining and Rapid Prototyping Laboratory, Software Laboratory, and IVisionLab. Additionally, CTAI has a study and living space, inaugurated to foster greater interaction among the CTAI team, students, and visitors.
The complex also includes a technical-administrative area with reception, coordination, faculty room, technicians' room, and meeting room.
