Creative Action

Creative Action is the largest provider of creative learning programs in the Central Texas area and one of the largest employers of local artists in Austin. Founded in 1997, it is focused on activating the academic, social, and emotional development of more than 20,000 young people annually. The organization uses the arts to achieve this goal through interactive classroom performances, after-school residencies, and community-based programs. Creative Action's team of professional teaching artists inspires youth to be creative artists, courageous allies, critical thinkers, and confident leaders in their community.
