Closer to Truth

Closer to Truth is an ongoing public television series and resource-rich website featuring world-renowned scientists and philosophers exploring the vital ideas of existence. With its captivating slogan "The world’s greatest thinkers exploring humanity’s deepest questions," the show delves into fundamental questions about the universe, brain/mind, religion, and the search for purpose and ultimate reality. Hosted by Robert Lawrence Kuhn and produced by Peter Getzels, the program provides intimate access to the world’s greatest thinkers. Now in its 17th season, Closer to Truth is broadcast on more than 200 PBS and public television stations, with over 100,000 PBS station-episodes across the nation and internationally. The digital presence features more than 4,000 video interviews with leading authorities on Cosmos, Consciousness, and Meaning. The show is supported by The Kuhn Foundation and Getzels Gordon Productions, with a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
