Cimico, a Spanish startup founded in 2019, focuses on providing biotechnologies for the treatment of wastewater. The company's mission is to transfer the deep technical knowledge of its team to real-world executed plants, offering solutions with efficient and optimal behaviors to care for one of the most precious resources on our planet - water. Their proprietary mobile bed, MOBED™, designed by Dr. Luis Larrea, is the centerpiece of their urban and industrial biotechnology solutions. Additionally, Cimico has developed its own mathematical simulation system, Filmath™, which is specific for technologies with biofilm, allowing them to make accurate calculations, optimizing the design and sizing of their plants. The last funding round, a significant €7.00M Venture Round investment, was secured on 18th July 2023 with Moira Capital Partners participating as the investor.
