Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) is the governing body for amateur golf in the region, authorized by the United States Golf Association (USGA). With over 102,000 individual golfers and 400 clubs in Illinois, parts of Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin, CDGA offers members various benefits such as Handicap Index® from the USGA® and competitive playing opportunities. The organization also provides services to clubs, including Course Rating™ and Slope Rating™ measurements, turfgrass diagnostics, and educational seminars. In addition to its core services, CDGA emphasizes creating therapeutic and recreational Outreach Programs for individuals with special needs, youth, and veterans. Founded in 1914, CDGA is one of the oldest and largest golf associations in the United States, continuously promoting the benefits of the sport.
