Chapel Haven Schleifer Center (CHSC) is a transformative non-profit organization that has been dedicated to improving the lives of adults with disabilities since its founding in 1972. Based in New Haven, Conn., CHSC offers a nationally accredited transitional living program and approved private special education school focused on empowering adults to lead independent and self-determined lives. The organization serves over 250 adults through its REACH and Asperger's Syndrome Adult Transition (ASAT) programs, addressing a wide range of disabilities including autism, intellectual disabilities, and Down Syndrome.
