Center for Vital Longevity (CVL) is a UT Dallas institute focused on researching the science of the aging mind. Founded in 2010, CVL is dedicated to understanding, maintaining, and improving the vitality of the aging mind through advanced brain-imaging technologies and research techniques in cognitive neuroscience.
The institute's research aims to identify individuals at risk of cognitive impairment and evaluate treatments to prevent or halt cognitive decline. The CVL is comprised of seven research labs, each led by an individual scientist, with frequent cross-collaborations among labs and with researchers from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and other national and international research institutions.
CVL received a $2.90M grant investment on 27 November 2019. With a focus on education and health care industries, the institute is committed to pursuing research that will lead to cognitive health for life.
