The Center for Caregiver Advancement (CCA) is the largest provider of training for long-term care workers in California. Founded in 2000, CCA's mission is to build a highly trained caregiver workforce that many Californians can't live without. The organization champions training for all caregivers and makes it universally accessible. With a recent $10.00M grant investment on 18 May 2023 from the California Workforce Development Board, CCA aims to enhance the skills of direct care workers, predominantly women of color and immigrants, needed to support the diverse aging population. The company operates in the care economy and health care industries, addressing the growing demand for long-term care workers due to the wave of baby boomers reaching retirement age, which creates systemic pressures in the healthcare system.
