Catalyst Connection

Catalyst Connection is a Pittsburgh-based not-for-profit organization that offers consulting and training services to small manufacturers in southwestern Pennsylvania. The company's slogan, "Powering the Potential of Manufacturing," encapsulates its mission to accelerate revenue growth and improve productivity in the manufacturing sector. Supported by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership, Catalyst Connection serves as the official representative of the MEP National Network in southwestern Pennsylvania. Established in 1988, Catalyst Connection is part of The Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (IRC) Network, collaborating with six other non-profit IRCs to help manufacturers adapt to changing markets and technology. The organization has had notable success in helping regional manufacturers with new customer acquisition, revenue growth, cost reduction, new product development, ISO registration, employee training, lead-generating websites, and improved business system performance. Catalyst Connection's comprehensive consulting and training services encompass diverse areas such as sales, market research, new product development, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Six Sigma, quality systems, business systems, and organizational development. In September 2022, the company secured a $4.80M grant investment from the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration to further support its activities. With a focus on the manufacturing industry, Catalyst Connection is playing a pivotal role in driving growth, vibrancy, and ongoing robustness in regional manufacturing.
