Caruna

Caruna is a Finnish energy company founded in 2014 with the mission of ensuring reliable electricity distribution as the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy takes place and electricity consumption increases. With a focus on investing in the electricity grid, the company aims to enable its 739,000 customers in Southern, Southwestern, and Western Finland, Joensuu, and Koillismaa to use domestic renewable energy and act as small-scale electricity producers. This positions Caruna as responsible for 20% of Finland's electricity distribution. The Private Equity Round investment in 01 July 2014 was led by OMERS Infrastructure.
